Key Points for Storage of Ya Pear

The best cold storage temperature of Yali pear is 0 ℃, and the relative humidity is about 90% to 95%. Ya pear is very sensitive to rapid cooling and CO2. After harvesting, the Ya pear directly enters the 0 ℃ storage or storage environment where the CO2 concentration exceeds 1%, which can easily lead to browning of the heart. Therefore, slow cooling and strict control of CO2 concentration in the storage environment are the key points to the successful storage of Ya pear.

When storing ya pears by cold storage, a gradual cooling method is usually adopted. That is, after harvesting, the pears are stored at 10-12 ° C for about 1 week, and the temperature will drop by 1 ° C every 3 days (to be slow at begining and to be fast later on), and the final temperature will drop to 0 ° C after 30-40 days, and the relative humidity is 90%. In addition, experiments in recent years have proved that two-stage cooling can effectively reduce black heart of Ya Pear and improve post-storage quality. After the boxed pears are stored at 10 ℃ for 10 days, they are stored at 3 ~ 4 ℃ for 10 days, and finally they are stored at 0 ~ 1 ℃ in the  end. The storage period is more than 6 months.

When using modified atmosphere storage, CO2 concentration should be strictly controlled. When the CO2 concentration exceeds 1% and the O2 concentration is less than 5% to 7%, it will cause damage to the Ya pear. On the basis of slow cooling, the use of O2 concentration of 10% to 15% + CO2 concentration <1% or 7% to 10% O2 + 0CO2 for controlled atmosphere storage can reduce the incidence of black heart disease and improve the quality of ya pear after storage. Hebei Hengshui No. 1 gas-regulated warehouse adopts O2 concentration 10% ~ 12% + CO2 concentration <0.7%, temperature ± 0.5 ℃, and storage period reaches 8 ~ 10 months.

It is strictly forbidden to apply nitrogen fertilizer in the late growth stage of Ya pear fruit used for storage. In the middle of August, the garden will not be watered. Harvest in time and store in time. In the main production areas of Hebei, the ya pears which are to be placed in the cold storage are generally harvested in the first and middle of September, and should be stored in time after harvest. In order to avoid the cold wind blowing the fruit directly, it is better to use a carton for storage. Ya pear is very sensitive to mechanical damage. Therefore, mechanical injuries should be avoided during harvesting, packaging and transportation. When stored in a cold store, when the CO2 concentration in the store is high (more than 1%) or there is a strong fruit aroma in the store, ventilation should be ventilated to exclude excessive harmful gases such as CO2 and C2H4. At the beginning of storage, it is generally ventilated once every 2 to 3 days, 30 minutes each time. Ventilation shall be arranged at the lowest temperature in the morning. After the storage temperature is stable at 0 ℃, the number of ventilations can be reduced. Lime and ethylene removal agents can also be placed near the fan (return air).
